Cyberfly Mainnet Incentivized Node Released: Requirements for Node Operators
In the realm of decentralized networks, node operators play a pivotal role in ensuring network integrity, scalability, and security. Cyberfly, a cutting-edge IoT platform and storage network, leverages Kadena blockchain, Redis for data storage, and OrbitDB for decentralized database management. With its move to the mainnet, Cyberfly offers opportunities for operators to contribute to and benefit from this ecosystem. This article outlines the requirements for operating a Cyberfly mainnet node and what node operators can expect.
Why Operate a Cyberfly Node?
Operating a node on the Cyberfly mainnet comes with several benefits:
- Support Decentralization: Help maintain the integrity and decentralization of the Cyberfly network.
- Earn Rewards: Stake 50,000 CFLY to participate and earn rewards for your contribution to the network.
- Enable IoT Applications: Facilitate seamless decentralized storage and data sharing for IoT devices.
- Be a Part of Innovation: Join a growing ecosystem pushing the boundaries of IoT and blockchain integration.
Token Supply Allocation for Node Operators
Cyberfly has a total token supply of 100 million CFLY. Of this, 40% (40 million CFLY) is allocated for node operations. This allocation is distributed over 15 years, ensuring sustainable rewards for node operators while maintaining long-term network growth and stability.
Node Hardware Requirements
To operate a Cyberfly mainnet node effectively, you need hardware that meets the following minimum requirements:
- CPU: 2 cores
- RAM: 2 GB.
- Storage: At least 10 GB of free space for data, files, and blockchain-related storage.
- Network: Stable internet connection with reliable uptime.
Staking Requirement
To participate in the Cyberfly network, operators must stake 50,000 CFLY tokens. This stake serves as a commitment to the network and helps secure the system.
Setup mainnet node
- Install eckoWallet extension, create an account and backup seed phrase.
- Buy KDA in any centralized exchange (Binance, kucoin, mexc etc.)
- withdraw kda to eckoWallet
- Buy $CFLY from kdswap.exchange
- Generate Private Key from https://node.cyberfly.io/kadena-tools
6. execute the following commands
git clone https://github.com/cyberfly-io/cyberfly-node-docker.git
cd cyberfly-node-docker
sudo chmod +x start_node.sh
sudo ./start_node.sh k:your_kadena_wallet_address node_priv_key
In last command, you should replace with your kadena wallet address from eckoWallet and private key generated from above steps.
Staking 50K CFLY
once starting the node, wait a minute and visit https://node.cyberfly.io/mynode
Done.
Conclusion
Running a Cyberfly mainnet node is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the decentralization of IoT technology while earning rewards. With modest hardware requirements and a clear staking process, joining the network has never been easier.
